Photos are removed from all of your devices that have the Google Photos app installed when you delete them from your Google Photos account. Remember that processing a request to delete a photo or video could take up to two hours.
Download the updated version on Android or iOS for a more granular way to manage your Google Photos (or update if the app is already installed). In a new section called “Offline & More,” you can control downloaded photographs and at any moment disable auto backup. Find out how here.
You can view your photos in the new edition of the app in whatever order you choose. Tap on More in the lower right corner of the app after opening it. In the menu that displays, choose “Albums,” and then click “Create Album.” Here, you can add text, pick an icon from a variety of options, or use one of your own images by tapping it first. You can also choose an icon for your new album. Additionally, you may name the album and decide who can view it (you, family, or friends). Even if your photo collection was previously arranged in another location, it will now display inside of Albums as a folder with the title of your custom album next to it.

What is Google Photos?
With the brand-new, cost-free app, you can effortlessly share your photos with friends and family, backup your photos, and save nearly 16 GB of photos for free. You can locate exactly what you’re looking for by searching by the people, locations, or things that feature in your images, such as “beach,” “sunset,” or even “puppy.” A highlight reel can be made by automatically compiling clips from an event into one video as if someone were narrating it. This is great for getting the grandchildren through dinner without having to ask them to choose between all of their favorite moments. There are also many other cool things you can do with moving pictures.
The app will ask you if you want to back up the images currently on your device’s camera roll when you use it for the first time. If all those images aren’t genuinely yours, you may then turn it off in the app’s settings (borrowed or downloaded from someone else). Simply launch Photos at any time to reveal a new icon in the top right corner of your screen. After tapping “Settings,” choose “Backup & sync.” Ensure that both choices are active. Click here for more information on Google Photos backup.
When the album is finished being made, a new icon will appear on its right side that will allow you to choose who can view it. Select the friends or family members you want to share it with by clicking “Share.” Click here for additional information about sharing with Google Photos.
In the app’s settings, first try turning off automatic backup (tap More in the top right corner > Settings > Back Up & sync). Then navigate to the Albums area and pick a favorite from among your albums. Near the bottom, there is a text field where you can enter “private.” Now, the contents of this particular album will only be seen to those who have access to it. Click here to read more about private albums.
How to delete or edit a photo?
Tap on the image you want to see in full screen, then swipe left to see any of your photos. Top right, click the “Backup” icon, then choose “Delete.” Once you’ve accessed the image from an album or search results, you can alter it by selecting the gear icon. When editing options appear, decide the modifications you want to make. The Enhance option, for instance, enables you to make changes to your image’s lighting, color, and other elements before sharing it with loved ones or saving it as a draft for later use (it doesn’t have to be perfect right immediately, after all).
How to add photos (or videos) to my story?
Select “People” from the drop-down menu when you hit the search icon (the magnifying glass) while you’re at any one of your collections, then just begin typing a name. Results from contacts as well as individuals who have already shared their own stories in Google Photos will be displayed. You can still include people in your tale if they haven’t already done so but are in your phone’s contact book or even in your camera roll by tapping their square thumbnail image when you discover it. When you’re finished, click “Add” in the top right corner and decide when to share it with your loved ones. Click to find out more about Google Photos’ tales feature.
Can I delete Google photos without deleting from iPhone?
There won’t be any photos removed from your iPhone if you delete the app. The app cannot access Google Photos, which manages photo storage.
How to delete Google Photos only?
On the Google Photographs app, click the Menu icon, then select the trash option to remove photos. Pick each photo in your Google account by clicking “Delete,” or select every item by pressing “Select” once.

If I delete the Google Photos app, what happens?
Uninstalling the software, if it was preloaded, will merely get rid of its updates. Look under All applications for Photos.
