What is Google Photos?
With the brand-new, cost-free app, you can effortlessly share your photos with friends and family, backup your photos, and save nearly 16 GB of photos for free. You can locate exactly what you’re looking for by searching by the people, locations, or things that feature in your images, such as “beach,” “sunset,” or even “puppy.” A highlight reel can be made by automatically compiling clips from an event into one video as if someone were narrating it. This is great for getting the grandchildren through dinner without having to ask them to choose between all of their favorite moments. There are also many other cool things you can do with moving pictures.
The app will ask you if you want to back up the images currently on your device’s camera roll when you use it for the first time. If all those images aren’t genuinely yours, you may then turn it off in the app’s settings (borrowed or downloaded from someone else). Simply launch Photos at any time to reveal a new icon in the top right corner of your screen. After tapping “Settings,” choose “Backup & sync.” Ensure that both choices are active. Click here for more information on Google Photos backup.
When the album is finished being made, a new icon will appear on its right side that will allow you to choose who can view it. Select the friends or family members you want to share it with by clicking “Share.” Click here for additional information about sharing with Google Photos.
In the app’s settings, first try turning off automatic backup (tap More in the top right corner > Settings > Back Up & sync). Then navigate to the Albums area and pick a favorite from among your albums. Near the bottom, there is a text field where you can enter “private.” Now, the contents of this particular album will only be seen to those who have access to it. How to delete or edit a photo?
Tap on the image you want to see in full screen, then swipe left to see any of your photos. Top right, click the “Backup” icon, then choose “Delete.” Once you’ve accessed the image from an album or search results, you can alter it by selecting the gear icon. When editing options appear, decide the modifications you want to make. The Enhance option, for instance, enables you to make changes to your image’s lighting, color, and other elements before sharing it with loved ones or saving it as a draft for later use (it doesn’t have to be perfect right immediately, after all).
